The specialist international beekeeping organisation

Guiding Hope

Africa, Cameroon

Guiding Hope - Guide de l'espoir. Our aim is to increase in the quality and quantity of locally-produce honey, and provide rural beekeepers in Adamaoua, Cameroon, access to rewarding markets for honey and beeswax.

In the Adamaoua and Northwest provinces of Cameroon, rural activities, and honey production in particular, form the backbone of the economy. Beekeepers, however, have traditionally remained disadvantaged due to a lack of information and networks. Guiding Hope works to change this by serving as a link between producers and markets. We worked with Bees for Development during 2009-2011, on our Africa-Wales honey and beeswax trade project.
