Bee Garden Party June 2017

United Kingdom

Thursday 29 June 2017 London

A Bees for development event

From an original artwork by Alex HirtzelBees for Development's summer Bee Garden Party will take place 5-8pm on Thursday 29 June in the gardens of Marlborough House, in London's Mall. With kind permission from the household of HM The Queen.  This Bee Garden Party is fast becoming the social highlight of the Bee Season, attracting hundreds of people, united by their interest in bees!

In the presence of Commonwealth Secretary-General, Baroness Scotland, this high profile event will be hosted by our Patron, BBC Journalist Martha Kearney. Our Patron Bill Turnbull will be auctioneer for the evening, helping us to raise funds for our work giving people in the poorest countries better futures through beekeeping.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the private gardens of this Royal Palace built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1710.  Marlborough House is headquarters for the Commonwealth.  To the south, the gardens border The Mall, while to the east is Queen Mary’s revolving summerhouse - its thatched roof is home for many solitary bees.

Tickets are £50 and you can buy here.
